Seating / Benches / Riley Sofa

Designed by Hannes Peer, the Riley Sofa features a structured, architectural form with soft, internal padding offering the ultimate in comfort. The seat rises from a recessed metal base, with vertical quilting adding rhythm to the backrest and armrest. A leather-upholstered profile, in contrast or tone-on-tone, follows a continuous line around the back and sides, meeting the seat at a 45-degree teardrop cut that defines the design. The seat cushion in a single-piece, is available in two depths for varied proportions. Available as a fixed sofa in four lengths, or as a versatile modular system comprising of central, corner and end elements, chaise longues plus ottomans to suit any setting. Optional relax cushions provide adjustable head support, while the stitched profile finishes highlight the craftsmanship of Minotti.

Hannes Peer expertly combines architectural skill with a passion for craftsmanship. Educated at the Politecnico in Milan and the Technical University in Berlin, his experience includes stints at OMA/Rem Koolhaas and Zvi Hecker. In 2009, he founded Hannes Peer Architecture in Milan, where eclecticism, central to his work, merges architecture, history, and technology.

Today, Minotti remains a family-run business, guided by the second and third generations. The brand continues to evolve through creative partnerships with leading international designers such as Giampiero Tagliaferri, Hannes Peer, GamFratesi, Marcio Kogan with Studio MK27, and Japan’s nendo. These collaborations bring fresh perspectives to a modern, global design portfolio.
