Gordon Guillaumier
"Gordon Guillaumier was born in Malta in 1966.
He studied economics and sociology at Reading University in England and Industrial Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan with Jasper Morrison and James Irvine as tutors. In 1992 he obtained a master in industrial design at the Domus Academy.
After an apprenticeship with design firm Baleri Italia, Gordon was trained and worked as design assistant in the studio of Rodolfo Dordoni.
In 1995 and for 3 years he collaborated with Driade working on the product strategy and development of Atlantide and Dstore whereby he assisted Enrico Astori with the art direction.
From 1998 he established himself as a free-lance consultant in design management, working with clients such as Dornbracht - bathroom interiors, Rational - kitchens, 2Link - silverware, Pamar - furniture handles & Elt - kitchens.
Gordon has designed products for Bosa Ceramiche, Elica, FontanaArte, Foscarini, Mito, Montina, Minotti , Varaschin and De Vecchi.
His products are presented at design fairs in Milan, Cologne and Moscow and his works are often reviewed in Domus, Abitare, Modo, Interni, Elle Decor, Wallpaper and Design Russia."
