Renato Toso was born in Murano in 1940 and Noti Massari was born in Venice in 1939. They both graduated in Architecture in Venice, and married each other in 1968. This husband & wife team, are acclaimed for their mastery of artisanal glass and lighting design. Their relationship with Leucos is both professional and emotional, as they participated in its founding.

Theirs is a multidisciplinary practice consisting of architectural works, interiors and industrial designed products. In addition to having received many international design awards, Toso & Massari enjoyed a solo exhibition at Palazzo Grassi in Venice, and participated in exhibitions held at the Louvre Museum and the Pompidou Centre in Paris as well as MOMA in New York.
