Aella Table Openworked
1968 Aella Table Openworked
Toso & Massari 1968
Aella, meaning ‘tornado,’ captures dynamic movement in its handblown glass diffuser, with patterns and reflections swirling around it's sunken cone. Designed in 1968 by Toso & Massari, 50 years of design evolution are celebrated by Leucos with their unveiling of Aella Openworked. Inspired by Swiss watches, Massari’s reinterpretation reveals the hidden beauty of the mechanics, with a transparent base that highlights the light source. Inside the glass cylinder, raw copper stems will oxidise over time, acquiring a unique and evolving patina.
