Superquadra Table
2021 Superquadra Table
Marcio Kogan 2021
The Superquadra collection takes its name from the pilot town planning design by Lúcio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer, conceived in 1956 for a residential neighbourhood of Brasilia. The square volumes of the famous buildings suspended on agile pilotis are reinterpreted by Marcio Kogan into sideboards, benches, coffee tables, console table and tables.
The Superquadra table, with its rectangular, minimal design and sizeable proportions, rests on four aluminium legs projecting out from the table surface, to give them an airy look. The considerably thick top incorporates the folding technique, maintaining the continuity of the veining from the top to the sides.
