When award-winning Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza was commissioned to repurpose Naples’ 19th Palazzo Donnaregina as the Museo Madre, he elected to incorporate Davide Groppi’s Infinito lighting into the vaulted Passaggio della Vittoria. The passageway leads from the building’s central courtyard into the landmark stature courtyard, and houses a site-specific work by British artist Paul Thorel as part of an initiative called Dialogue di Mutina for Art in which Mutina has promoted and sponsored works of art that utilise ceramics in experimental ways.
