Housed in the Baroque Palazzo la Rocca in the Sicilian town of Ragusa, the Duomo restaurant of super-chef Ciccio Sultano is a food destination in its own right. The bourgeois interior is designed along the lines of a private apartment, in which Davide Groppi’s Tetatet Flute table lamps cast an intimate light, their metal disc shades perched upon transparent glass stems that all but disappear into the sumptuous decor. Meanwhile, his Popup table lamps double as speakers, emitting a gentle background soundtrack; his monolithic Toast wall lights, meanwhile, provide functional lighting in service areas.
