The Tondo rug is created by superimposing two off-centred circles of felt in different diameters. An outline where the "Girella" design can be inserted is die-cut from the upper circle. In the resulting space, the embroidered "Girella" design can be inserted and sewn to the under felt. The border features Punto Cavallo.
