Sandy Armchair Outdoor
2026 Sandy Armchair Outdoor
nendo 2026
Sandy is defined by a continuous design gesture that becomes a sinuous ribbon in outdoor settings. It wraps and unfolds in a single fluid line, forming the armrest, seat, and backrest as one element. This creates a clear contrast with the base, which is geometric and rests on ultra-slim legs. From this concept comes a family of outdoor pieces, including a two-seater sofa, dormeuse with side table, armchair, and dining armchair. Each piece is designed for light and flexible use in exterior spaces.
The structure is made entirely of aluminium, chosen for durability and a refined outdoor finish. It is available in glossy tones of Chestnut, Forest Green, Dark Brown, Warm Grey, and Dust. Separate seat and back cushions add comfort and are finished with piping. Discreet fastening systems keep them stable and visually clean. Designed for residential and hospitality use, Sandy brings together comfort, durability, and a clear architectural presence inspired by classical garden spaces.
nendo
In 2002, Oki Sato opened his architecture and design practice named nendo – meaning ‘clay’ in Japanese, as the studio prides itself on being as flexible as that venerable material. Internationally renowned for his multi-faceted approach, which spans from graphic design to product design, and from architecture to the creation of installations, Oki Sato officially joined the Minotti team of designers in 2018. With his light, fresh and minimal style, he creates designs with a big personality and a poetic touch.
