Bedroom / Beds / Ruffle Bed

The Ruffle Bed by GamFratesi is defined by generous proportions and soft volumes that create a strong sense of comfort. The design features a slender, linear headboard available in low or high versions. It is slightly raised from the floor, which adds visual lightness and elegance. The bed is fully upholstered in fabric or leather, with options for single or dual headboard elements. This allows for both symmetrical and asymmetrical layouts.

A key detail is the pattern of paired bands that wrap around the headboard and base. This creates a continuous quilted effect that enhances the softness of the design. The structure is built on a sprung sommier for improved comfort. Discreet metal feet lift the bed visually, while the headboard is supported by slim blades. Careful stitching and precise construction highlight the craftsmanship, resulting in a design that balances comfort, structure, and refinement.

GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by the Danish architect Stine Gam (b. 1975) and the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi (b.1978). Drawing on classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the timeless Italian intellectual and conceptual approach, they create furniture that respectfully reflects history while evoking modern narratives rich in symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist idiom.

Today, Minotti remains a family-run business, guided by the second and third generations. The brand continues to evolve through creative partnerships with leading international designers such as Giampiero Tagliaferri, Hannes Peer, GamFratesi, Marcio Kogan with Studio MK27, and Japan’s nendo. These collaborations bring fresh perspectives to a modern, global design portfolio.
