The Orion armchair by Giampiero Tagliaferri is defined by overlapping volumes and precise geometric cuts. It is inspired by constellation-like compositions, where elements are arranged along orthogonal and diagonal axes. This creates an armchair that feels structured, fluid, and visually light in the space.
Generous seat cushions with inward stitching provide comfort and a clear graphic identity. The backrest sits directly on the seat and is finished with tone-on-tone stitching for a clean, continuous look. The armchair rests on a recessed perimeter frame in metal or leather, which lifts it slightly off the floor and creates a floating effect. The result is a piece that combines comfort, clarity, and architectural precision.

His refined interiors and architecture synthesise the dual nature of classic 20th-century Italian design where radical beauty is leavened by restraint, along with the sun-kissed optimism and effortless elegance of pioneering Southern California modernism.

This month, @paola_lenti_official hosted a series of workshops at our Sydney and Melbourne showrooms, demonstrating their Chromatic Alphabet to a collection of local architecture and design professionals.
The Chromatic Alphabet displays hundreds of materials from the Paola Lenti library which are the result of more than 30 years of research. This library of texture and colour forms the foundation of the Paola Lenti design language, and is used as a tool to design the space and palette of a project.
The Chromatic Alphabet installation remains on display in our showrooms throughout July, alongside the latest collection from Paola Lenti. You’re welcome to visit and play.
