Seating / Lounge / Tape Lounge Chair

Signed by the eclectic Japanese studio Nendo, Tape is a collection of seats with a strong personality and characterised by a light silhouette. The Tape collection has a comprehensive range of models: armchair with and without armrests, lounge armchair, bergère, two and three seater sofa and ottoman.

Overturning the traditional idea of the support feet that come out of the body of the seat, here they are external to the structure. Tape owes its name to this couture detail, conceived as a piece of ribbon that holds them in place. The soft curve of the shell, which designs the armrest and that accommodates the soft back cushion, highlights the pure and enveloping line of the armchair.

Customisable in a wide range of leather and fabric coverings.

nendo is the name of the 70-person Tokyo studio of industrial designer Oki Sato. Born in Toronto, Canada in 1977, today Sato is one of the world’s most prolific designers, working for brands as varied as Fritz Hansen, Stellar Works, Wonder Glass, Moroso, Flos and Minotti. “nendo” means “clay” in Japanese, and the studio prides itself on being as flexible as that venerable material.

Now helmed by the third generation of the Minotti family, Rodolfo Dordoni guarantees the modern-classic aspect of the portfolio while collaborations with designers including Frenchman Christophe Delcourt and Japan’s nendo bring in fresh perspective.
