Following a rebranding exercise Zurich Financial Services appointed Davenport Campbell to implement thier company values to their built environment.
Consequently it was decided to upgrade the building fabric, services and philosophy.
The need for building wide circulation whilst maintaining security, prompted a review of public reception and public perception. This resulted in the introduction of th enew entrance lobby and first floor link.
In keeping with the Zurich philosophy, a concept of visual transperancy was introduced with a new 12 mtr high glass curtain wall suspended on a web of stainless steel bow trusses.
The double height space is punctuated by a sculptural staircase featuring open timber treads and decorative glass balustrades. The staircase acts as a public access to a new suite of glass sided meeting rooms.
