The overall concept of the apartment was developed by combining geometrical arrangements and creating almost sculptural forms within the space. This direction is very apparent in the creation of ‘framed’ fire place in the living room and strong presence of monolithic black Marquina stone bar.
This approach is further implemented in the luxury private en-suite highlighted by the over scaled bath that commands attention and provides a vantage point for view towards the Bay. The apartment’s material palette and finishes consists of contrasted honed natural limestone and dark timbers with added lustre of chrome and finely woven stainless steel mesh which creates a sense of calm and comfort. Large mirrored panels were strategically positioned to enhance the illusion of space and to extend views.
The special concrete waxed polished finish was applied to the columns and serves as a backdrop for specially commissioned bronzed sculptures by Bronwyn Oliver.
