Ministry of Sound in Australia was born in 1999, started up by Sydney DJ Tim McGee and friends.

Ministry of Sound, the world renowned dance brand is now Australia’s leading independent music and entertainment company. It is home to two record labels, a video agency, a publishing company and a ticket agency

In 2012 the operation moved from the Universal Music offices in Munn Reserve, Miller's Point to its new location in Crown Street, Darlinghurst. The building is positioned perfectly in the middle of the City, Surry Hills and Kings X, in what has quickly developed into the Music industry precinct.

Under the guidance of Andrew Cliffe the MOS gutted and converted a run down 3 story building in Sydney's vibrant east finge, into a modern office / radio recording studio / and HQS for MOS's growing Australian operations.
