MG Garage embraces design in such a way that a motor vehicle showroom, an elegant statement dining room and a smart, pacy bistro all find a place under the one roof. The challenge for the designers was to integrate two diverse businesses into an existing historic building, presenting a unified concept, but with each enterprise distinguishable. Sliding screens of fine woven stainless steel mesh define the bistro from the car display. The cars are the stars - on display on a timber boardwalk, they are

out in front: they present a strong visual image. The materials used are reminiscent of 1960's British design to befit the MG personality. In the tenancy adjacent to MG Garage, fine foods and motor vehicles come together again in a lifestyle concept store incorporating exotic automobiles, a 'Eurostyle café and a food market. Stone walls, exposed concrete ceilings and theatrical lighting contrast a rough, industrial aesthetic with the slick machinery of Europe's leading vehicle manufacturers.
