Yves is a boutique apartment building situated on the corner of Manning Road and Pine Hill Avenue in Double Bay.
Sophistication and luxury are paramount to the design, giving the building an individuality and architectural beauty essential for good apartment living
The building, designed by JAA Studio, exclusively houses just 7 spacious apartments, four with private gardens and all elevated above street level with external deck areas, giving the corner site unparalleled appeal.
Each apartment is designed to maximise outlooks over Double Bay whilst giving each the intimate feeling of being in your own single residence rather than part of a large complex. Open plan living combined with generous ceiling heights, large sliders, and block joinery walls, allow the spaces to be adaptable, unify indoor and outdoor space if the resident chooses.
The architecture is composed of clean lines and strong forms, based on the timeless ideology of modernist structures where columns and slabs are expressed as part of the building’s language.
This architectural language is combined with state of the art building systems, including specialised pre-cast concrete, high-tech strip glazing, black feature panels and a water cut pre-weathered ferrous privacy screen which strengthens with age via the protective oxidization process that occurs as it is exposed to the elements.
Internally Italian stone flooring and bench tops are used throughout, along with the highest quality goat’s hair carpet sourced from Ireland, nano-granite black sinks, high density polyurethane joinery, and high-performance timber veneers; ensuring the buildings longevity inside and out.
The neutral and monochromatic colour palate allows the occupant to create an individual and personalised version of the space with furniture that is as restrained or decorative as desired.
