Woods Bagot has been working with Phillips Fox over the last two years to develop a national strategy for its office accommodation. Commencing with a strategic review of its accommodation options, Woods Bagot worked as part of a team to select and negotiation either stay or relocation options in each city.
In order to test the new design standards, Woods Bagot designed and implemented a prototype fitout of Phillips Fox's new workplace in Adelaide (2,600 m2) in late 2002. The new environment is well received by clients and staff and has formed a template for the new offices in Sydney (9,000 m2) which were completed in late 2004.
The new design utilises a more friendly and less formal layout, encouraging clients to access areas of the offices beyond the traditional secure ‘client zone'. Collaborative spaces adjacent to break spaces and resource areas provide more dynamic zones within the overall office area. Finishes are light, with highlights of rich timbers and colours. The new layout and design enhance the new corporate identity which values clients and people.
