In order to add space to a bedroom in a federation era house, Kerry Fyfe had to make this bathroom smaller her task was then to ensure a feeling of spaciousness- hence the feeling of simplicity and unclutteredness the finishes were deliberately limited - walls sheathed in blue-green mosaic tiles, a tall panel of mirror glass, unobtrusive chrome bathroom fittings and a pale limestone floor.
The room has a strong sense of vertical scale. The lines of the shower and vanity area draw the eye upwards and the mirrored wall above the vanity basin extends upwards into the skylight.
