Disgusting" is the word Kal Bragg used to describe this terrace house when he bought it just over a year ago. For a start, the three-bedroom property in Sydney's leafy Woollahra hadn't been renovated properly in years. Secondly, the home was incredibly dark. "The previous owners didn't have any light coming in at ail," says Kat. And, at only 3.6 metres wide, it was very narrow.
A qualified builder, Kal has worked with several architectural firms, project-managing home renovations costing up to a million dollars. So, when it came to his own property, the brief he set himself was clear: "To make it a tot brighter, larger, cleaner and generally nicer."'The 27-year-old was even game enough to design most of the renovations, bringing in the subcontractors he needed to work alongside him.
