Arkitex showroom
SEARCH
It is a surreal fitout because you see nothing, no fabrics. You only see 3 boxes in a 1940's like air raid shelter industrial space along the McLachlan Ave corridor in Sydney's Rushcutters Bay
The showrrom structure aimed to be designed as a larger resource library facility for interior designers to come and use.
Subtle, luminous, layered, practical, fluent and filtered and "Surreal" are words which describe the feeling of this showroom project by BKH
The fabrics sold by Arkitext are very architectural, craft based therefore the space allows the fabrics on show to speak for themselves without distraction.
The display boxes are stainless steel frames cald in core flute, giving a filtered light source with shadows behind.
