Sydney based photographer Maree Homer started her career as a technician in the dark room of the advertising department at David Jones.
After an eight-year stint in various roles within the company, she left her position as a stills photographer to pursue an exciting freelance career.
15 years on, she is now one of the most sought-after photographers in the country.
With extensive knowledge in working with both film and digital mediums, Maree brings a fresh approach to photography; particularly with the way she uses natural light to capture evocative images.
She is renowned for her interiors photography, but her skills are versatile and constantly evolving – she relishes in shooting any subject matter and has a natural instinct for interiors, food, people and travel.
“I love that photography satisfies my creative appetite and I get to work with amazing people and have the opportunity to see some incredible locations,” she says.
Friendly and easy to work with, Maree thrives on the group dynamic of photo shoots.
“I absolutely love collaborating with whoever I’m working with and bouncing ideas off one another to produce beautiful images and achieve high-end results for the client,” she says.
Her experience is broad and varied, with her work published in prominent Australian and international publications such as: Australian House & Garden; Belle; Real Living; Living ETC. UK; Country Living USA; Madison; InStyle; Australian Women’s Weekly; BBC Good Food; Shop til you Drop & Shop Kids; Good Health & Medicine; New Idea; The Knot; The Good Weekend; Gourmet Traveller; Inside Out; Australian Vogue; Marie Claire; Elle; Cosmopolitan; CLEO; Country Style; Home Beautiful; Prevention; and Women’s Health.
