Kyoto Area rug is produced with the hand tufting technique. The rug surface is delineated into 60x60 by a cm squared modules by a hand carving technique. The floral patterns decorating the rug in relief can be produced both in wool and silk and the number and the placement of the designs is determined according to pre-established patterns

This hand tufted rug features a sculpted relief design with a variety of placement options based on 60 x 60 cm carved delineations, referred to as design modules. The Kyoto design module is created in relief and a combination of three colours are chosen: background field colour, colour of the design outline and colour of the design, selected among the 132 option available in the Area sample box. The Kyoto modules can be combined with solid colour Plain modules according to pre-established patterns, specified as: Minimaldecor, Decorframe e Plainframe.
