Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi were born in the 30s in Milan where they started operating in the 60’s around the field of architecture, interior design and product and industrial design.
Donato D’urbino and Paolo Lomazzi had been collaborating since 1966 on projects of architecture, town-planning, furniture and objects. They worked with De Pas until 1991.
In the Sixties they developed a particular interest in the creation of furniture and temporary architecture.
Their work was notable for the introduction of advanced signs, materials and industrial technologies.
They designed industrial and residential buildings and worked in all the areas related to the industrial design of products for the home, the office, the selling and showroom spaces. Further more they worked with many of the major brands and companies both in Italy and abroad: Acerbis, Artemide, Alessi, Bonacina1889, Cassina, Driade, Naos, Valli&Valli, Poltronva, Stilnovo, Tonelli, Zanotta, Zerodisegno, Roset.
Amongst the first acknowledgements we can count there are the the Compasso D’Oro award in 1979 in Milan, the BIO award in 1977 and the BIO award in 1981 in Lubiana, the Design Award Winner in 1998 in Hannover.
Their work is exhibited in many international museums, both in the european continent and the United States of America as well as documented in the historical literature regarding Italian Design, architecture and product design.seum of Berlin and Zurich.
